Byron Berry
Chairman
Byron Berry has over 25 years of experience advising, operating, and financing technology companies. He was Canada's top-ranked Software Technology Analyst, a leading investment banker with broad experience in the capital markets from seed-stage financings to multi-billion M&A transactions and financings. Mr. Berry has been on the boards of private technology companies, an investment bank, and several not-for-profit organizations. In 1999 he co-founded and financed Thinksmith Corp., a cloud enabled collaborative workspace where he was president for three years. Mr. Berry started his career in government as a desk officer and economist at the Canadian Department of Finance. He holds a BA (UBC), MA (Carleton) and qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) - inactive.
Salim Rahemtulla
President & CEO
Salim Rahemtulla has over 30 years of private and public sector experience in real estate development, asset management, banking/lending, operations and facilities management.
A former US naval officer, he has managed and lead cross-functional teams in the execution of $2B in public and private sector residential construction projects primarily across Southern California, worked as a construction lender and in loan portfolio management at two major financial institutions, consulted on real estate/affordable housing projects in Los Angeles, and has served as the mission protection/land-use compatibility program manager at a major naval installation with a large-scale military airfield and a deep-draft port.
Over the past decade, Salim has been involved in several real estate and renewable energy start-up companies, most significantly, Foton Technologies, a renewable energy company that has developed a proven clean, green gasification technology to produce electricity using opportunistic biomass feedstock and municipal solid waste and a real estate fund under the auspices of a Southern California-based investment bank.
Also, during this time, he supported the Navy and Marine Corps warfighter as a director of asset/facilities management overseeing the planning and development of mission-critical projects at a US naval installation, some of which were in support of RDT&E and mission-focused warfare center facilities projects.
Salim has an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in Economics with an emphasis in Social Sciences and Communication and an MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business.
Raghu Kilambi
Chief Accounting & Financial Officer
Raghu Kilambi is an experienced investor and entrepreneur with over 25 years of global business experience spanning public and private investments, company building, and shareholder value creation.
He has raised over $1 billion in equity and debt financing for both private and public companies, and has been involved in numerous M&A transactions and successful exits. His expertise includes operational management, financial reporting, corporate governance, corporate finance, IPOs, strategic acquisitions, international business development, merchant banking, and corporate restructuring across sectors such as technology, telecom, and mobile.
Most recently, Raghu served as Vice Chairman and CFO of California-based ConversionPoint (e-commerce software/services), which completed two M&A exits in late 2019 and early 2020 after filing a Nasdaq IPO prospectus in 2019.
Earlier in his career, Raghu was Co-Founder, CFO, and Chief Strategy Officer of a leading VC-backed application hosting company that grew from startup to $140 million in annual revenue, reaching a peak Nasdaq market cap of over US$2 billion.
He has also invested in several companies acquired by Yahoo, eBay, and CGI. Raghu holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accounting from McGill University (with Great Distinction), and is a qualified Canadian Chartered Accountant.
Bill O'Banion

O’Banion is currently the acting director of business development at PowerTap subsidiary PowerTap Hydrogen Fueling Corp, and is the founder and managing director of Indranet Partners and director of strategic development at Fidelity Capital Partners.
O'Banion brings 27 years of business and strategy development in advanced automation to Powertap, having led strategic client, product and associated supply chain development of several companies involved in capital equipment within some of the most advanced global technology markets.
O'Banion has a stellar track record of developing deep relationships with global leaders in the markets he has engaged with, generating nearly US$2 billion in revenue over the course of his career.
Pinakin Patel
Acting CTO
Mr. Patel is a world renowned hydrogen and fuel cell expert with more than 40 years of directly applicable experience. In addition to his experience, he has an extensive industry network, has contributed to more than 30 patents, and has received awards from prestigious organizations for his many contributions in the hydrogen industry spanning the US Department of Energy, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the National Hydrogen Association, the State of Connecticut, the Electrochemical Society, and others. Mr. Patel was also recently elected as a board of director on the California Hydrogen Business Council (CHBC), a national level organization consisting of over 140 companies engaged in every aspect of the hydrogen supply chain worldwide as well as advocating for the commercialization of low-carbon and green hydrogen technologies.
Mr. Patel has an extensive resume having raised more than $500 million in R&D funding for advanced technology, manufacturing and application development projects in USA, Canada, Japan, Europe and Asia. His experience is in-depth spanning every type of fuel cell and renewable power using a variety of sources including waste-derived biogas, solar, wind and others. Mr. Patel has also supported dozens of venture stage companies in the alternative energy space by arranging supply chain coordination, strategic alliances and funding. As the company continues to progress technology development and commercialization, Mr. Patel’s first initiative will be to fill out the remainder of the advisory board with experts to ensure a successful product launch and market penetration.
